Support Visiosonic DAC-2 ?

Hey! Was wondering if Ultramixer supports the Visiosonic line of USB hardware (i.e the DAC 2 or DAC 3) ??

The PCDJ software only supports MP3’s and CDDA, but I have OGG’s too. Don’t want to transcode ALL of it to the PC/Win platform. Rather do it all in Linux /Opensource - That’s where Ultramixer come in )

Thanks!
Mickey

Hi Mickey,

thanks for the inquiry. Unfortunately, since we are a freeware style project we can not afford hardware like this at the moment. You can donate one  The next investment on our list is a Apple Macintosh to support this plattform.

If I didn’t need my hardware to mix with, I’d loan it to you!

Though I’m not an expert programmer, I am an IT guy during the day (DJ by night). If I can help out, let me know.

UltraMixer supports any MIDI-Controller, so you can use Visiosonic DAC-3 to control UltraMixer. Which system do you use?

Best regards,

Hi Mickey,

yes that’s what I forgot to mention. If you have a MIDI compatible controller ( only DAC-3 supports Midi to our knowloedge) then you can configure UltraMixer to support it (Menu/Preferences/Midi).

I purchased the DAC-2 a month before they announced the DAC-3. Works very well, and does what I need. One USB cable to a pc/laptop and it “works”.

I will have a look at Visiosonic’s USB driver to see what it does.

regards,
Mickey

Hi Mickey,

just a question does it work for you?
