max archive size?

hey,

i’m using the 2.05 beta on a native 64 bit gentoo linux (sun-jre-bin1.5.0.06)

it seems that UM can’t handle my music collection. When i add (via the FA-menu) my music dir (which contains 16740 songs), the progress bar halts after about 4600 songs (i tried a couple of times, it always seems to stop at a different point…)

Also, selecting different directories at once (like all the bands starting with A), and then adding them, doesn’t seem to work either. Only the topmost selected gets added to the FA.

Greetz,
Weyer

Could you please take a look at the logfiles located in /.ultramixer/ (umerr.txt and umlog.txt).

Maybe there is a problem with special files…

ok, some output:

i tried twice. it stopped at different songs, with similar output. When the progress stops, i can cancel it, and close UM normally. When i reopen, the processed tracks are in the database.

Could it be the same ‘files stay locked when loading in the database’ bug? (topic I posted earlyer).

indeed, it looks a bit the same, but i only have this problem with large amounts of songs. If i add only one file or directory into the archive, there is no problem (even dirs with up to 1000 files). I haven’t tried loading directly into the playlist though
